Why did you remove Salt, Inositol & Bacillus coagulins in all the dry dog formulas?
Salt beyond the minimum requirements is simply unnecessary and has a negative perception when found in natural foods. Inositol has no proven benefits to dogs, thus no purpose in the diets so therefore it has been removed. Bacillus coagulins does not survive well from the food to the gut. These removals reinforce our commitment to ensure every ingredient has a purpose and is beneficial to the animal.

Small Bites, Senior and Reduced Fat?
Our consumer research showed that Glucosamine was the #1 most important supplement to consumers and the most expected supplement to appear in Eagle Pack formulas. In fact, most consumers thought that all the Eagle Pack varieties already contained Glucosamine. We added this beneficial supplement to the whole line so that it could become one of the main, foundational, differentiating benefits.

Why did we remove Phylloquinone (Vitamin K) & Bacillus coagulins in all the
dry cat formulas?
We removed it from our formulas (it was listed as Phylloquinone) because there is enough Vitamin K naturally occurring in our ingredients to meet the minimum requirements established by AAFCO Bacillus coagulins does not survive well from the food to the gut, so we have chosen not to include it as an ingredient any longer.

What is a “multi-cat” formula? What type of cats is this food for?
This formula is targeted for multi-cat households where the owner prefers a “one size fits all” food for all of the adult cats in the house. The formula has the right amount of fat, calories and fiber to help cats keep a healthy weight and maintain digestive health.

What is an “indoor” formula? What type of cat is this food for?
These formulas focus on fiber, calories and skin and coat health for cats that live a more sedentary lifestyle and are constantly grooming. Hairball management, weight control and litter box odor are issues that our Indoor Formula helps manage.
